Burroughs Taking shots

William Burroughs is one of my all time favourite authors. Greatly enjoy Burroughs’ fantastic/surreal imagery & satire in his novels. His old pal Jack Kerouac called Burroughs the “greatest satirical writer since Jonathan Swift”. However, others see Burroughs as a bit of a one trick pony, who only really wrote one credible book and survived by rehashing it & dinning out on it’s controversy & his celebrity.

Famously Burroughs’ described is writing technique & the role photography played in it in great detail. So unfortunately, for a Burroughs fanatic,  this exhibition had relivetly little new to add. Elewhere in the building was an exhibition of David Lynch’s “The Factory Photographs” which, unsurprisingly, showed Lynch
