Leaving science I did an MA in Drawing. I was interested in drawing & visual humour in communication and the use of satirical art for holding up society to public scrutiny until it changes – I wrote assays on it.
Following my Final Presentation the Head of Fine Art described my Art as “The Art of Protest”.
I try to make work about other, nice, things but when I pick up an ink pen the urge to scratch out protest at the Tsunami the obviously “mad and the bad” is irresistible.
