Predominantly video/moving image work. Much of it on Super 8. So much for modernisation

I found it too easy to disengage with. ( Yeah, we all walked home on  7/7 what of it?).

The most effective video piece I’ve seen was in Tate Modern, some years ago.  In Bruce Nauman’s “Double No” a sinister jester figure is jumping up and down, mirrored in an inverted screen and shouting no, no, no. The claustrophobia it irradiated into a wide open space was palpable. I hated it but have not forgotten it & still shudder at the thought of it today. Perhaps I should stay in an watch TV more. I think Bruce Nauman’s “Clown Torture” is on soon.

I think if I were to attempt something like this I’d make  the movie about 2 minutes long and put other simple attention holding, but not too distracting things in the room.
