Dr Gareth Morgan holds a PhD in Cell Biology from the University of Oxford and an MA in Drawing (Distinction) from Wimbledon College of Art, University of the Arts London.

He became interested in visual ways of communicating medical information as a result of being diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes & seeing first-hand the problems faced by health care professionals in explaining diabetic medicine to patients and by patients trying to explain their condition to health care professionals.

Which dragged him into art.

Now he just sticks to drawing and painting, working mainly in in pencil, pen, ink, pastel, charcoal, watercolour, oil & humour.

He has a studio in a repurposed electrical substation on Sydenham Hill, London.
