This work originates in through contemplation of art works at the Gallery derived from altarpieces. I thought about what a might represent a altarpiece today, a place for someone to pray to a dearly loved God. I looked around quickly and saw the polytheistic Gods of consumerism, the high street brand idols and set about making my modern altarpiece.
